Khoisan Rock Art

South Africa has one of the richest legacies of Rock Art in the world so for those of you interested in getting off the beaten track, a day out viewing this rock and cave art in the beautiful Cederberg Mountain Conservancy is for you.

It is a pretty 3-hour drive out to the Cederberg Mountain Conservancy, where the rock art there, painted by the indigenous San people, dates from 8,000 to 200 years in age.

After arriving and having a refreshment we start our 5km walking trail, visiting up to 9 different sites of San rock art paintings.  This is an easy trail, completely away from civilization, so you feel completely at one with Mother Nature.  We then treat ourselves to a well-earned lunch before starting our journey back to Cape Town.

Rates R2,995 per person including hotel pickup and permit to enter the conservancy.
