Day Safari Tour

A visit to Cape Town would not be complete without a day safari at Aquila Game Reserve. Situated in the Klein Karoo, just two and a half hours outside of Cape Town, this sprawling 10,000 hectare game reserve is home to over 1,200 wild animals.

It includes the Big 5, that being the Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Buffalo and the elusive Leopard, and the reserve manages one of the most renowned cheetah rescue and rehabilitation centres worldwide.

After a stunningly beautiful drive to Aquila, we arrive and have a welcome drink and a delicious lunch, before you enjoy a two & a half hour afternoon Game Drive with a Game Ranger on safari tracking herds of zebra and buck through the scrub, spotting elephant, hippo, lion or cheetah running free on the Karoo plains while dedicated rangers will happily share insights and anecdotes about the game reserve and its inhabitants as you search for the animals. We then start our journey back to Cape Town, arriving back at your hotel around 6.30pm.

Rates R4,855 per person, including hotel-pickup, welcome drink, lunch & afternoon Game Drive.

You can also have return transfers by helicopter from R21,000 per person, including safari experience (Game Drive & 3-course lunch).
